The national civil service examination, referred to as the "national examination", refers to the civil service examination of the central and state organs. It is a way for national ministries, departments and general administration to recruit staff in central and state organs. The recruitment conditions are relatively strict, generally requiring full-time undergraduate graduates and previous graduates, and some positions require master students and CET-4 and CET-2. The time is relatively fixed, generally concentrated in 10~ 1 1 month every year.

Civil servants are produced with the emergence of the country. As long as the national mechanism is established, the civil service system will be established. It is worth mentioning that in 605 AD (the first year of the great cause of Sui Dynasty), China established the earliest and most perfect "civil service examination system" in the world, namely "imperial examination system".

1, small range.

Civil servants only refer to the central government's non-elected and non-politically appointed officials, excluding elected or politically appointed cabinet members and administrative officials such as deputy ministers and political secretaries. This scope is consistent with the scope of application of the National Civil Servants Ordinance, and Britain and many Commonwealth countries basically belong to this category. In Britain, civil servants refer to those who do not advance and retreat with the cabinet, are selected through public examinations, and can serve for a long time without fault.

2. Medium range.

All public officials of the Central People's Government, including administrative officers and civil servants, are called civil servants, but only civil servants are subject to the national civil service law. The United States basically falls into this category. In the United States, civil servants are called "government employees", which is a wide range of terms, including all government employees except military personnel.
