As early as hundreds of years ago, the first Great Wall of Wan Li in China, the Great Wall of Qin and Wan Li, was born. On the land of Qilu, a Wan Li Great Wall stands tall. It is the Great Wall of Qi and is praised by experts as the father of the Great Wall of China.

The Great Wall of Qi was built by Qi during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, which once played a great role in the defense and hegemony consolidation of Qi. Now it is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit in Shandong Province. On June 25th, 20001year, it was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

According to historical records, the Great Wall of Qi was built in Qi Huangong before 555 BC. At that time, Jin joined forces with Lu, Song, Wei and other countries to cut Qi, and Qi was forced to widen, thicken and raise a section of dam near the mountain south of Jishui to stop the allied forces. This is the original origin of Qi Great Wall as a military defense project. After qi and reconstruction, it was basically completed. It took more than 400 years before and after, more than 500 years before the Qin Dynasty built the Great Wall of Wan Li. This is the oldest existing Great Wall in China. On this basis, the Great Wall of Qi was praised by historical authorities as "the best Great Wall in China and the best barrier in the world". The story of Meng Jiangnu crying on the Great Wall, which has been passed down from generation to generation, happened in the Great Wall of Qi.

The Great Wall of Qi starts from the ancient city of Pingyin, Zhang Cun, Xiaoli Town, Changqing County, Shandong Province in the west. It looks like an oriental dragon, circling among the mountains with the momentum of swallowing mountains and rivers, climbing over 15 18 peaks, and reaching the Yellow Sea from the peak platform of Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone in the east (east of Xushan and north of Dongjiahe Village), with a total length of 18.9 kilometers along the way. At that time, the geographical division here was bounded by the beacon tower and the Great Wall of Qi in the west, Lu in the south and Qi in the north.

The construction of the Great Wall of Qi started the first Great Wall construction in China and even in the world. Since then, countries and even the Qin, Han and Ming Dynasties have built the Great Wall on the Gobi Desert, and accumulated ten Great Walls in Wan Li, making ancient China a unique country with a courtyard wall, a city wall and a state-owned Great Wall.

Time has passed, and the Great Wall of Qi has long lost its former defensive function. However, it is the oldest and largest ancient architectural site on the ground in China. Its existence is of great value to the study of ancient military, engineering architecture, politics, economy, history and culture.
