Shaolin Temple Shaolin Temple was founded in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Batuo, a monk from Tianzhu, was sent to China, which was well received by Emperor Xiaowen. In order to settle him down, this temple was built at the northern foot of Shaoshi Mountain at the foot of Wuru Peak in Songshan Mountain.

Shaolin Temple Shaoshi Mountain is densely forested, hence the name "Shaolin Temple".

During the reign of Emperor Xiaoming of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Dharma (said to be the 28th disciple of Sakyamuni) came to Shaolin Temple. On the basis of postscript and Tuo, he founded a Zen Sect and recruited many followers. Since then, "Zen Shaolin" has spread to this day.

It was thirteen monks in the early Tang Dynasty who made Shaolin Temple famous all over the world. Because of his contribution to the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong gave thousands of hectares of land, and because "thirteen monks held sticks to save the Tang king", they were called Shaolin monks and soldiers. Since then, Shaolin Temple has become famous all over the world and is known as the first temple in the world.

During the Tang and Song Dynasties, Shaolin Temple became the largest Buddhist school, with14,000 mu of land, more than 5,000 pavilions and more than 2,000 monks.

This group of photos was taken in the late Qing Dynasty (1August 907). At this time, Shaolin Temple is not what it used to be. It is dilapidated and has few pilgrims. Later, due to the civil war between the revolutionary party and the Beiyang warlords, they were repeatedly subjected to wars and bandits were rampant.

In order to maintain local order, a monk named Henglin stood up. He was elected as the chief captain of the Shaolin Guard Corps, organized the guard corps, trained fighting skills to fight bandits, and maintained the peace of the temple and dozens of surrounding villages, and was known as the living Buddha of Shaolin.

Unfortunately, in the 17th year of the Republic of China, Feng Yuxiang's Shi Yousan Chihua Temple, Tianwang Temple, Ursa Major Hall, Longwang Hall and Hades Hall, including the Dharma Hall, Warehouse and Zen Hall, as well as a large number of precious cultural relics and Tibetan Scriptures, were reduced to ashes.

In 1970s and 1980s, Shaolin Temple was renovated and rebuilt, and now it is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Later, Industrial Development Co., Ltd. was established, which became famous all over the world again.

Songshan Mountain in Zhongyue Temple is known as the "Holy Mountain of Chinese Culture". When talking about Zhongyue Temple in Songshan Mountain, Zhongyue Temple has to say that the four iron men, the treasure of Songshan Mountain, are located on the east side of Chongsheng Gate in Zhongyue Temple. The Song Dynasty was 3.5 meters high and was made of mixed iron. They are commonly known as "Iron Man in the Town Library" and "General in the Library". "Library" refers to the ancient god library. When the Song Dynasty was rebuilt, some people said it was Song Taizu, others said it was Song Yingzong, and it was later demolished.

Zhongyue Hall Zhongyue Hall was built in the Qin Dynasty, formerly known as Taishi Hall, dedicated to Taishi Mountain God.

During the Kaiyuan period of Zhongyue Temple in Tang Dynasty, Li Longji renovated Zhongyue Temple and expanded it, laying the site of Zhongyue Temple today.

In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang built a golden statue of Yue for the Zhongyue Temple. Today, the clothes of Yue God were handed down from that time.

Zhongyue Temple was destroyed by fire in Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. Later, Qianlong renovated Zhongyue Temple according to the construction method of Beijing Qing Palace Museum.

Taishi Que was added to Zhongyue Temple in the early Yuan Dynasty in the fifth year of the Eastern Han Dynasty as a guiding landmark building. Most of them are located in front of palaces, ancestral temples, mansions, cemeteries and Shinto. Both sides of Shinto are called tomb que, and other places are called door que, which was widely used in Han Dynasty.

Shao Shi Quemen is located in front of Shaoshi Mountain Temple in Songshan Mountain. It was built in the reign of Emperor Han 'an, and it was made of blue-gray stones.

Qimu Pagoda, also known as Mu Kai Que, is located in front of Qi Mu Temple under the Long Live Peak of Taishi Mountain, which was also built during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. The above three questions are also called "Three Questions of China, Guangdong and Korea".
