At the beginning of 1960, it was premiered by Wang Feng Troupe in Shanghai Guolian Theatre. Adapted from Wang Xing and directed by Shi. Zheng Chuanjian is the artistic director and Su Shifeng is the artistic director. Fan plays Cao, Zhang Xiuzhen and Liu Zhongzhong play Shen. This drama exposes the evils of feudal ethics, and is called the three tragedies of Fu Drama together with Half a Scissors, It rains and Mother Married. This play is a costume performance, and other plays are not good at it, so short sleeves are used instead. Fan's euphemistic singing and delicate performance just showed Cao's bitterness and inner pain and contradiction. 1962, Double Jade Cicada was performed in Beijing, which attracted the attention of the opera circle and received rave reviews. Written in late spring and March, the grass grows in the south of the Yangtze River, the peanut trees are mixed, and the orioles fly around. On the outskirts of Huzhou, a land of silk and plenty, there is a beautiful girl of 18 years old who is embroidering her wedding dress in the shade of weeping willows among the flowers. She is the central figure in this play-Cao. When she was intoxicated with the longing for the wedding and longed for the early arrival of a happy life, her fiance Shen, who lives in Shaoxing, suddenly joined her relatives. Unexpectedly, the encounter between the two became the beginning of Fang's tragic fate. It turned out that Shen, her fiance, was a one-or two-year-old child whose parents were both dead and helpless. Under the constraint of feudal ethics and the intimidation of the heads of the two families, Fang Er had to take in, temporarily fix up his brother and sister, and put up with hardships to raise the orphan, hoping that he would grow up and get married. Because of this unfortunate experience, a series of tortures followed, and the beautiful girl gradually became a haggard middle-aged woman. This is one of the first performances of Hua Xiaobai Opera Troupe of Zhejiang Yue Opera in 1983. Directed by Chen Jing (executive), Wang Shiyu and Ma Peiling, composed by Gu Dachang, directed by Le Guoqing, and designed by Lan Ling. He Yinghe plays Cao, Zhu plays Shen (played by teenager Xu Yijun), Wu Jie plays Lv Biyun, Wang Yuyan plays Cao Tou, and Wang Lianqin plays Shen Tou. The play was first transplanted by Yueqing Yue Opera Troupe on 1980, directed by Lu and designed by Chen Yasheng. Zhang Lajiao plays Cao and Wang Shaolou plays Shen. The whole play runs through the jade cicada, and it is divided into six scenes: shocking cicada, returning cicada, giving cicada, dying cicada, complaining cicada, loving cicada and sad cicada. Singing became popular when the performance was touching. Later, the core aria "Ling Hua Jing" sung by He Ying and Zhang Lajiao became a famous Yue Opera song in different forms. Zhang Lajiao attended the Zhejiang Young Actors Conference and won the first performance award and the title of the best young actor in Zhejiang Yue Opera.
