What is the real identity of Mo Chounv in Four Sisters? Who is Smee Mo Chounv?
Mo Chounv was a slave in a place called Quanxian near the Han River in Chu State. Her father is Lu Mao, an ordinary fisherman near the Han River. He lives by fishing and selling fish all the year round. In order to make a living at home, Mo Chounv joined the local acrobatic troupe to earn money for people. Because Mo Chounv has beautiful eyes, in order to avoid getting into trouble, she always wears a mask when performing. Mo Chounv is probably the incarnation of Shan Gui, which was Qu Yuan's first thought when he saw Mo Chounv. Why do you say Mo Chounv is Shan Gui? As we said before, Qu Yuan thinks that Mo Chounv looks exactly like the woman in his dream. The woman in his dream is the mountain monster he called "Shan Gui" and the goddess in his heart. Historically, Qu Yuan wrote a nine-chapter poem "Simei". In this poem, Qu Yuan used the words "cry" and "wait" to express his thoughts and deep love for the woman he loved. But in fact, Qu Yuan expressed his inner exhortation to the king of Chu by thinking of beauty, hoping that the king of Chu could understand his patriotism. Qu Yuan also wrote "Shan Gui" in the last article of Nine Songs to worship the gods. This drama is a combination of the two, describing Qu Yuan's experience from adolescence to middle age and old age, and expressing his grief and indignation.
