Brief introduction of Beiru River
Beiru River, commonly known as "Ruhe" among the people, is generally called "Beiru River" to distinguish it from Ruhe River, a tributary of the Red River in southern Henan Province. Heying River, a tributary of Huaihe River, is a tributary of Liusha River. Its river basins are all in Henan Province. It originates from piles of ditches in the north watershed of Li Shujie Village, Checun Town, Songxian County, Henan Province, and flows through Ruyang County, Ruzhou City, Jiaxian County, Baofeng County, Xiangcheng County and Yexian County, and joins Shahe River in Dingying Township, Xiangcheng County. It has a total length of 250 kilometers and a total basin area of 6,080 square kilometers. 1 Beiru River has a long history and evolved from the northern section of Gulu River. This basin is the rainstorm center of Huaihe River basin, with many floods and disasters, which have been treated in history. In fact, Ruyang, Ruzhou and Xiangcheng in the middle and lower reaches are developed industrial and agricultural areas in the basin.
