Socrates was one of the founders of Greek (Athens) philosophy. Western philosophy is also the tradition of western ethical thought described by the first moral philosopher. Cicero (former 106- former 43) is an important historical figure in ancient Rome. He is not only an outstanding prose writer, but also a talented political activist. He made an important contribution to the education in ancient Rome. He is an active advocate of eloquence education, and his book Eloquence is one of the most important works on eloquence education in ancient times.

5. Vives (1492— 1540) was a Spanish humanist and educator during the European Renaissance. He was born in a noble family in Valencia and received family education from an early age. He entered the University of Valencia from 65438 to 0508.

1509 entered the University of Paris. 15 12 years, he left Paris to study and give lectures at the University of Leuven because he was dissatisfied with the scholastic philosophy education at that time, and established a close friendship with Erasmus.

1523, he was invited to England to be a tutor of Princesse Marie and a professor of Greek and Latin at Oxford University, and he was closely related to Moore. In the divorce case of King Henry VIII of England, he sided with Queen Catherine, then left England and died in Bruges.
