The Historical Evolution of Zhongshan Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone
Zhongshan Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone was developed and constructed on the basis of the former Zhangjia Border Region. Before the establishment of Xiangshan County, Zhangjiabian belonged to Dongguan County, and after the establishment of Xiangshan County, it belonged to Deneng Capital and Sidu.

The early years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1875) belonged to Dongzhen Town, Xiangshan County.

In the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925), Xiangshan County was renamed Zhongshan County in April of 15 in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and Zhangjiabian was called Dongzhen of Zhongshan County.

In June 2002, 24 natural villages were integrated into 4 administrative villages (Liuhe, Lianfu, Chengdong and Haibin) and 1 community (Zhangjiabian).
