Li Taizong's surname, also known as Li Lin, was the second generation monarch of the post-Li Dynasty in Vietnam. He is the second son after Li Taizu Lili.
After he acceded to the throne, he changed the Yuan Dynasty to Shao Ping, and all state affairs were decided by assistant minister Li. But he is ignorant, lawless and arrogant, and often hurts loyal ministers. Emperor Taizong was old and took back the power to personally manage state affairs. But because of his young age, no assistant, heavy drinking and poor moral character.
1442 In July, Emperor Taizong inspected the military parade and went to Lingxian County, where Ruan Jian lived in seclusion. When he saw Ruan's road, he was forced to wait for the driver. Unexpectedly, he arrived in Jiading County, where Emperor Taizong died suddenly. The court framed Ruan Jingdao for killing the king, arrested Ruan Jian, punished him and destroyed three Ruan Jingjian families.
LêNghiDan was the first emperor in the post-Li era. He is the eldest son after Li Taizong and Li Long.
Before he ascended the throne, he was the king of Lang's son. 1459, he killed Injong and Queen Xuan Ci and became emperor himself.
However, he usurped the throne for only eight months. Because he listened to rumors and slaughtered old ministers, everyone was angry and resentful. Ministers Ruanchi, Ding Lie and others killed LêNghiDan and made Li Si, the fourth son of Emperor Taizong Plain, emperor.
