The land area is 283 square kilometers, with 82,000 mu of cultivated land, 0.36 million mu of woodland/kloc and 40,000 mu of tidal flat. Wolong Town, Xiangcheng District is located on the south bank of the Han River, at the northern foot of Longzhong Mountain, ten kilometers west of Xiangyang City. Its name comes from a mud mouth formed by the north flow of the Han River, and then gradually developed into a small market town, called "mud mouth".

The area under the jurisdiction of Nizui is rich in landforms, with obvious landforms in mountains and plains. The core area under the jurisdiction of the town is located in the core area of Gulongzhong, a national scenic spot in Xiangyang City. Zhu Gekongming once worked hard again and was called "Wolong", so it was renamed as Wolong Town, which is more in line with the rich historical background of this area. The western region is mainly mountainous and hilly, which is the remnant vein of Qinling Daba Mountain, adjacent to Nanzhang County and Gucheng County, and is rich in forest resources. Due to the special environment, it has rich karst cave landforms, especially Jiutian Niangniang Cave. Huilongguan, Baima Temple and Gu Yin Temple are scattered in the vast forest like pearls. There are Wolong Office, Wolong Neighborhood Committee, Wolong Street and Wolong Pit in the town, and there are nearly 50 wonderful legends about Wolong.

Now it has jurisdiction over 46 village (neighborhood) committees and 255 groups, with a total population of 86,000, including 60,000 agricultural people.
